Christian Coleman Out of Oslo and Stockholm Diamond League Meetings with InjuryBy Adam Kopet Gene Cherry of Reuters reports Christian Coleman has withdrawn from this week's Oslo and Stockholm Diamond League meetings with an injury. Coleman injured his hamstring in workouts last month, forcing him to withdraw from the Shanghai Diamond League meeting. He came back at the end of May to compete over 100 meters at the Prefontaine Classic and the Rome Golden Gala, both Diamond League meetings. The IAAF World Indoor champion and world record holder over 60 meters finished second at the Prefontaine Classic, running a wind-aided 9.84. He then finished fourth in Rome, running 10.06 after letting up at the end. Ronnie Baker won both races. Those races further hurt his already ailing hamstring. Coleman had been scheduled to race the 200 in both Oslo and Stockholm, his first races over that distance this year. He will presumably compete at the USATF Outdoor Championships, although he has not yet entered. Coleman's next Diamond League meeting is scheduled to be June 30 in Paris. More news |
