Norwegian track and field stars Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Karsten Warholm both delivered world-leading performances Thursday at the Bislett Games, which is also Oslo's Diamond League event.

Ingebrigtsen covered 1,500 meters in 3:27.95 to become the seventh-fastest man in history and went faster than anyone since Asbel Kiprop of Kenya ran 3:26.69 in Monaco in 2015.

Behind him, Spain's Mohamed Katir was second in 3:28.89 and Yared Nuguse ran an American record with a personal-best 3:29.02 for third.

Warholm won the men's 400-meter hurdles in a world-leading time of 46.52, a Diamond League record and meet record. American CJ Allen was second in 47.58.

Erriyon Knighton ran to a dominant victory in the men's 200 meters, clocking 19.77 for yet another meet record.

In the women's discus throw, NCAA champion Jorinde Van Klinken pulled off an upset when she beat Valarie Allman to win the competition with 219 feet (66.77m) on her fifth-round throw.

Van Klinken picked up valuable Diamond League points that she hopes to cash in for a trip to the Diamond League final at Hayward Field in Eugene. Van Klinken, who completed her eligibility with the Ducks this spring, did not get a chance to compete in a home meet this spring.

Marie-Josee' Ta Lou of Ivory Coast ran 10.75 for a world-leading wind-legal time in the women's 100 meters.

Ethiopia's Yomif Kejelcha won a photo finish ending to the men's 5,000 meters with Uganda's Jacob Kiplimo, as both were timed in 12:41.73.

American Joe Klecker ran 12:56.59 for fourth place.

The order of the men's pole vault mirrored last year's World Championships, with Armand Duplantis of Sweden winning with 19-8 (6.01m), Chris Nilsen of the U.S. second with 19-4 (5.91m) and Ernest John Obiena of the Philippines third with 19-0 (5.81m).
